Good to Know

Answers to the questions parents ask us most.

Does my child need a diagnosis to start?

A formal autism diagnosis is required to start ABA under insurance. If your child hasn't been diagnosed yet, that's okay โ€” we have diagnostic partners we can refer you to, and we'll be here when you're ready.

How much does it cost?

For most NC families on Medicaid or commercial plans, ABA is fully covered โ€” $0 out of pocket. Once we verify your specific plan, we'll know exactly what's covered before you commit to anything.

Is there a waitlist?

No. We have openings in most North Carolina areas and can usually begin within days of verifying coverage.

Where does therapy happen?

Wherever your child is most comfortable โ€” your home, daycare, school, or our clinic. Most families choose in-home.

What insurance do you accept?

Medicaid and most commercial plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Healthy Blue, Trillium Health Resources, WellCare, and Carolina Complete Health. Not sure? We'll verify your plan for free.

What is a BCBA?

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst is the clinical lead on your child's team. They build the individualized plan, supervise the day-to-day therapists (RBTs), and review progress with you regularly.

How involved are parents?

You're part of the team. Parent coaching is included in every plan, with tools to use between sessions.
